gleneagles: the magic of scotland

Gleneagles is a historic hotel nestled in the rolling hills of Scotland.  Located just an hour’s drive from Edinburgh and Glasgow, Gleneagles offers unique experiences for every type of traveler.

The idea of Gleanagles was first conceived in 1910 during the era of the “Grand Hotel” and was meant to serve primarily as a golf retreat.  Progress was stalled by World War I, with the hotel finally opening to the public in 1924. Gleneagles closed again during WWII and became a military hospital, eventually reopening as a hotel in 1947.  Read on to find out why we love Gleneagles!

Golf Getaway

Gleneagles was created as a golf retreat, and the award-winning golf courses still attract golfers of all skill levels today.    There are four courses available, including the PGA Centenary course created by Jack Nicklaus, all surrounded by the beautiful Scottish countryside.  Need help with your game? If you are lucky enough to visit on the first Sunday of the month, enjoy the most indulgent Sunday brunch in all of Scotland.
