The Amalfi Coast

Built into the side of rocky cliffs, this breathtaking region of Italy is a magical place.  The beautiful pastel colored towns are some of the most popular destinations in Italy. The cliffside views are unmatched whether you explore Sorrento, Ravello, Positano, Amalfi or the elegant island of Capri.

Private Boat Charters

Over the years, we have heard countless comments that the best days of our clients' Amalfi Coast trips are the days spent on private luxury motor boat charters. You can expect a captain navigating you to unique areas you are only able to able to visit by boat and an assistant serving you Prosecco and snacks. You will visit the most scenic coastline and Emerald coastal caves.

Scenic Amalfi Coast Drive

The unparalleled views you experience on the Amalfi Coast are one of the main things that draw millions of people there every year. Having a driver guide take you for a leisurely drive along the coast is a great way to see the awe-inspiring views of the Amalfi Coast.  Your driver will detail the history of the Amalfi Coast if you’re interested and recommend places to stop for exceptional overlooks. You also have the option of stopping for a traditional Italian lunch if you desire.

The Culture

There are a variety of fun beach clubs along the Amalfi Coast, and they are a great way to experience the Amalfi culture.  Chair and umbrella rentals are offered at these clubs with drink and food service available right from your beach chair from a friendly Italian server. Spending time at these beach clubs allows you to take part in the Italian culture of “lo struscio” (slow living) which emphasizes relaxation. You can have a beautiful view of the sparkling sea while you sip a refreshing Aperol Spritz and soak up the warm Italian sun.

Ravello

Ravello is a hidden treasure perched high on a mountain and is known as the City of Music. Historically Ravello served as a destination for artists, musicians and writers including Virginia Woolf, Greta Garbo, Gore Vidal, André Gide, Joan Miró, Truman Capote, Tennessee Williams, Graham Greene, Jacqueline Kennedy, Leonard Bernstein and Sara Teasdale.  Ravello is home to some of the most beautiful vineyards that produce wine from grapes with ancient lineage that dates back to Roman times.

Take a day trip to the Island of Capri

Capri is an island in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the coast of the Sorrento peninsula known for its jaw dropping natural beauty, culinary scene, Blue Grotto, Emerald Cave, Faraglioni Rocks, nightlife, world class shopping and jet setting celebrities.  Capri is a place to see and be seen. There is a reason so many celebrities dock their yachts in Marina Grande.  While enjoying Capri you may notice that the italian dialect is slightly different, it’s known as Caprese.  Words like Piazza are pronounced Chiazza on the island. Dining here is an event that lasts all night and an authentic Caprese Salad is on every menu.  Its vine ripened Italian tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, just picked basil and locally pressed olive oil has since been copied in many countries. Sipping on Italian wine while the church bell tolls and the air is filled with music encapsulates Capri evenings.

The beach clubs like everything else in Capri are beautifully manicured and arranged fastidiously in colorful rows.  These private clubs can book places for you to lounge, places to change and usually have a restaurant on site.

Faraglioni Rocks

These tree limestone pillars just off the coast of Capri can be seen for miles and are part of the iconic Capri vista.  You can sail by them by boat or swim next to them to get a closer look.

Blue Grotto

This cave has been wooing visitors since Roman times.  The crystal blue waters seem to glow as you enter by row boat.  Depending on the tides you may have to lie flat in the boat to enter the grotto.

Culinary Experiences

There are a variety of culinary experiences with stunning views on the Amalfi Coast to choose from. The restaurants range from upscale, Michelin dining to more casual and authentic Italian settings. Pairing colorful sunset views with the mouthwatering food offered in the Amalfi Coast is a romantic experience like none other. We recommend making reservations well in advance of your trip as these restaurants do tend to book up quickly. Some delectable restaurants we recommend are Un Piano Nel Cielo, L’Antica Trattoria, and Bagni Delfino.

For Italian food lovers, the best way to enjoy delicious Italian food is by learning how some of your favorite dishes are made! Learning how to cook traditional dishes like handmade pasta and pizza is a joyful, hands-on experience that you will remember for a lifetime. The cooking classes are taught right along the coast at local restaurants or dining spaces overlooking the sea, so you get to experience breathtaking views while creating and enjoying delicious Italian food!

Sorrento

Sorrento in particular is known for its traditional dishes like gnocchi, its incredible spaghetti e vongole(clams) and other fresh shellfish, and for its Limoncello liquor.  Fun fact, Sorrento is believed to have the best pizza in all of Italy!

Positano

There is no doubt that Positano is the jewel of the Amalfi Coast. This iconic scene above is why Italians and celebrities alike come here for holiday. The narrow winding streets are lined with boutiques, restaurants and art galleries. The mountainside is layered with hotels and villas where the breeze and the view of the sea is unparalleled. The seafood in Positano is the culinary feature and the homemade Limoncello liquor is offered after every meal. The perfect appertif after a masterfully prepared experience.

The colors of Positano are vibrant but the vibe here is very laid back and relaxing. You may never want to leave…
